Welcome back!
We began the week by talking about the role of an artist and exploring the works of the famous artist Vincent Van Gogh. The children learnt that he was Dutch, he painted portraits and landscapes and one of his famous paintings was ‘The Starry Night’. We explored the painting in detail and discussed what we could see. The children then enjoyed creating their own versions of the painting by using a variety of different sized paintbrushes, different colour shades and swirling brush strokes.
