This week we have been focusing on sharing things about ourselves to our new friends during circle times. We have talked about our favourite colour, food and animal. We have become more independent with our morning and afternoon routines, and are more independent at putting on our own coats. We have explored all areas of our classroom, inside and out, becoming more confident to seek out new friends and new challenges. We have started our maths topic of colours, focusing on identifying different colours around our classroom.
In our art areas we have been learning the skill of printing, using a potato and a fork. We learnt the steps of how to print the penguin; putting the fork into the potato, then lifting the potato into the paint and then pressing down on the piece of paper.
Towards the end of the week we went on a woodland walk in our groups to explore the wider school environment. At the end of our walk we went to see our school chickens.
