This week our focus text was The Enormous Turnip. We started the week by reading the story, using puppets to help us tell it. In explore learning, we made puppets to help us retell the story, and used them alongside our small world story tray. In maths we looked at the number 1, understanding the quantity and written form. As the leaves are falling down onto the ground we looked at the season of autumn and what changes we might see. In phonics we played a game of hidden instruments where we used our listening ears to match the sound of the hidden instrument, to an instrument that was in front of us.
