We started this week looking at who in school can help us and created our ‘helping hands’. We thought of the grown ups we have in nursery that can help us and listed Miss Beaumont, Mrs Rathod, Miss Nicholson, Mrs Tait, Ms Adams and Mrs Waithaka. We then looked at why we are wearing odd socks and spoke about how we are all different and that it is ok to be different, tying in with our school value Everyone Matters.
In nursery we have been looking at the nursery rhyme Old McDonald and looked at the different animals we find on a farm and the noises they make. We looked at the different jobs you can do on a farm and talked about which ones we would like to do. We looked at the animals and their babies, and looked to see if we could match them through looking at similarities. In PE we continued to work on our balance when walking across the benches, and decided on different ways we could travel across. In maths we have started to look at repeating patterns.
