This week has been full of Christmas cheer from watching performances to practising our own. At the start of the week we went to the hall to see Reception and Key Stage 1 performances and had a wonderful time. We then thought about our own performance for next week and practised our songs.
We looked at our first Christmas story The Jolly Christmas Postman, learning all about how our letters get from the post box to someone’s letter box. We listened carefully to see where the postman had been so we could draw a story map of all the characters visited.
We continued our Christmas cards and began to learn how to write our name, using a comfortable grip and looking carefully at those letter shapes. We have been making some decorations out of clay this week and have been learning how to roll out the clay, tear away the excess clay from the cutter and then lift the cutter up.
