This week has been full of Christmas cheer from watching performances to practising our own. At the start of the week we went to the hall to see Reception, Year 1 and Year 2’s performances and had a wonderful time. We then thought about our own performance for next week and practised our songs, and playing an instrument alongside.
In our explore learning time we explored a range of activities such as wrapping presents, decorating our baubles with patterns and exploring our Christmas small world. We also focused on our Christmas cards, creating our Christmas picture and how to write our name, using a comfortable grip and looking carefully at those letter shapes. After our clay decorations had dried, we painted them and then used our pinching fingers to sprinkle glitter over the top.
We were most looking forward to Friday as this was our Panto day. It was lovely to have all of our Dragonfly and Minnows together for lunch and then to watch the pantomime all together.
