This week we revisited our focus story from last week, Say Hello to the Snowy Animals, to see if we could remember the animals that we saw in the story. We then used this to help us when spotting different artic animals on the whiteboard.
In phonics we used some different instruments to create slow, fast, loud and quiet noises. We each had a turn to play an instrument and our friends had to guess if we were playing slow, fast, loud or quietly. We also matched the instruments to a body percussion sound. In maths we continued looking at number 3, working on our subitising skills when looking at different patterns and sizes of objects.
In PE we worked on rolling the ball, understanding the need to roll close to the floor. After we had a practise we played a game of monkey football, trying to score goals by rolling the ball through each other’s legs.
At the end of the week we revisited some of the animals we had learnt about and then voted for our favourite. Dragonfly class chose the polar bear and Minnow class chose an arctic fox.
