We started the week looking at our topic of animals that live in the hottest parts of the world and learnt about the Amazon rainforest in Brazil. We met Antonio the Anteater who informed us all about the two types of rainforests and what animals we might find there. Antonio then helped us understand the importance of trees and what we need them for.
On Tuesday our World Book Week started where we have been celebrating our love of books. We had two secret storytellers come in and read stories to us, and we talked about all our wonderful paper plate characters that we had made.
On Wednesday we came in dressed up as some amazing characters from tigers to Gruffalos, from princesses to dragons and dinosaurs. We had visits from Percy the Park Keeper (Miss Beaumont), Logan the rabbit (Mrs Rathod), Witch from Room on the Broom (Mrs Tait) and Stick Man (Miss Nicholson) who each read their story to the children.
