We started the week with an exciting visit from Dave and his animals. We saw an owl, a toad, a stick insect, a hedgehog and a snake. We were very brave and got to stroke and hold some of the animals.
We continued looked at plants and extended our knowledge to the different parts of a plant and what their roles are. In our explore learning time we have been ordering parts of a plant starting at the roots at the bottom, and ending at the flower at the top. We used a fork to paint sunflowers and completed observational drawings of a daisy.
In phonics we continued to work on our oral blending and segmenting skills of CVC words, and in maths continued our work on the composition of 5.
