We started this week looking at photos and videos of our newly hatched butterflies that hatched over half term. It was lovely to see them fly off to their new home. We started our second part of our topic Come Outside looking at different insects that we might find in our nursery garden. We came up with many different insects such as worms, beetles, ladybirds, bees, butterflies, caterpillars and so on. This week we looked at worms. We thought about any facts that we knew about worms such as they like the mud, they are pink and they live under ground. We then found out some more facts and created a fact file. We found out some interesting facts such as worms have no bones and they have 5 hearts.
We continued to practise our sports day races on the field, and in maths we recapped the composition of the number 3 and 4. In phonics we played different games to continue our learning on orally blending and segmenting.
On our art tables we have started to create a special card for someone. We recapped how we used water colour paint and carefully painted onto a watercolour sheet of paper.
