It was lovely to see how happy our Reception children were coming into school and exploring their new classrooms. The children showed increasing independence in putting their belongings in the cloakroom and they completed a daily flexi finger activity as part of their morning routine. Through fun circle games and play based learning, the children have started to make connections with each other. We have also been really impressed with how well the children have been eating their lunch in the dining room, using their knife and fork.
Later in the week, the children went on a scavenger hunt to explore different parts of our school environment outside the classroom, with the help of Jigsaw Jenie.
