Reception Latest News Autumn 1 Week 4

This week in phonics we learnt the phonemes i, m, n, d and continued singing the Jolly Phonics songs with actions.

On Tuesday, we got changed for PE and spent some time in the hall playing movement games which involved careful listening. It was great to access a new space in our school and practise getting ourselves changed with high levels of independence.

After reading the story about our value Growing Minds, we found out how Olly Owl was encouraged to try new things, even when they are tricky. This reminded us of our new classroom and how we must keep try in our learning. The children were keen to make craft owls to represent this value.

We have continued to share comments about our families and in art we drew our families in our art books. We had to think carefully about our features and we attempted to draw with increasing detail.
