This week the children have been learning to identify 2D shapes by their names and their properties, we went on an environmental shape walk to see how many different shapes we could see around the school e.g. a round clock, square windows and rectangle door.
The children attended a Harvest Festival Assembly where they learnt that harvest festival is a celebration of the food that is grown and how we should all give thanks for our food. We are grateful for the donations we have received from our school community that can be shared with the local food bank.
We ended the week reading Rosie’s walk exploring positional vocabulary. We all enjoyed our own class walks in the style of Rosie on the farm.
