Reception Latest News – Autumn 2 Week 2

We started the week learning about Remembrance Day and the importance of the poppy. As a school, we met on the playground to take part in a minutes silence to reflect about those who fought for our country.

On Tuesday, the children wore odd socks in line with Anti-Bullying Week encouraging children to be different and unique. The children have thought about who they can speak to in school if they are worried about something and they completed ‘helping hands’ to identify adults who can help them.

The children have enjoyed learning about bears: they started out sharing what they already knew about bears e.g. the names of bears, what they eat and where they live and then they used non-fiction texts and search engines to find out more about brown bears, polar bears and panda bears.
