We began this week talking to our learning partners about our homes and what makes them special to us. The children decided that their families and toys were the things they valued most. We continued to focus on bears this week as each class discovered their favourite bear using a class vote, we then recorded the information on a graph.
Next we drew our favourite bear, labelled it and wrote an interesting fact. In the creative area this week the children practised the skill of using sticky tape correctly to join two pieces of paper to create a book, they then designed a front cover with a drawing and phonic labelling.
In maths we have been exploring patterns of four and early composition of number using the part part whole model.
We ended the week exploring ice with arctic animals in our outdoor small world area.
