This week the children have been getting ready for Christmas. They have created Christmas cards for the special people in their lives and made their own salt dough decorations using a simple recipe and decorated them. They also enjoyed a fire pit session where they learnt about fire safety and how to make porridge for Santa.
In maths the children made comparisons between objects relating to weight as they weighed gifts in Santa’s roleplay. They used language, such as heavy, heavier, heaviest and light, lighter, lightest as they explored the weighing activities.
In phonics we have recapped the taught digraphs ch, sh, th (moth, think), th(this, that), ng, nk, we have also reviewed all of the taught memory words and actions taught so far.
