This week, the children have enjoyed learning about different types of transport. As classes, we came up with a list of all the different types of vehicles we could think of e.g. train, aeroplane, hot air balloon, boats and buses. Later in the week, we explored what transport would have been like in the past. We looked at a variety of old images and discussed what was different and what was similar. The children made some great observations e.g. the aeroplanes were a lot smaller and had less windows.
On Tuesday, we were very excited to go on our school trip to Bekonscot Model Village. The children enjoyed walking around the model village, having a ride on the train, playing in the play park and enjoying lunch together. Later in the day, the children attended a workshop where they explored transport from the past and present. We all agreed that transport today is much more comfortable! We all had a fantastic day.
The children have been continuing to take care and prepare our polytunnel for planting. The children have had the opportunity to plant their own seed and are remembering to water it each day. We are looking forward to planting potatoes in our planting beds and watching the process overtime.
