This week we have continued to explore our planet and the effects we have on it.
We developed a recycling centre in our role play areas and explored a variety of materials that we could reuse and recycle. We revisited the skills of cutting and joining in art as we created our ‘rubbish robots’ using a range of reusable materials such as cereal boxes, toilet rolls and bottle tops.
In maths this week we have been exploring the composition of the number 5 using the rhyme ‘5 Little Speckled frogs’. The children enjoyed the opportunity to act out the rhyme and revisit composition in planning time by sticking the correct number of frogs on the lily pads and writing a number sentence.
