This week has been a creative week for our children in Reception. They made and decorated vanilla cupcakes linked to our story Eat Your People and built an Ice Cream shop in the role-play area. The role-play shop was particularly popular on National Numeracy day with a focus on money. The children performed our class song ‘I can sing a rainbow’ in assembly using appropriate Makaton signing and used a range of mixed media to create their own rainbows.
We are continuing to enjoy our theme Into the Great Outdoors as we observe our chrysalis daily in anticipation of our new arrivals. We are also continuing to take care of our vegetables, which are making good progress in the polytunnel.
