Reception Latest News Week 6

This week, the children have continued to Explore woodland animals and their habitats. They have expanded their vocabulary with New Words such as sett, warren, form, and Drey. The children thoroughly enjoyed building their Own woodland habitats using Small world Resources and animal figures.

They have also enjoyed learning the words and Actions to the poem “I’m a Little Hedgehog,” Which we have shared with you on Evidence Me.

Additionally, we began exploring our school Vision and values, focusing on the theme Everyone Matters. The children listened to a Story about a mole, which helped them Understand the importance of every individual And the idea that everyone truly matters.

In maths, we have explored the concepts of More than and fewer than. The children Practiced comparing quantities using everyday Objects and pictures. For example, they Counted groups of woodland animals and Identified which group had more or fewer Animals.
