What an exciting and festive week we have had! When we arrived at school on Monday, we were all very excited to see that the cheeky Elf had returned. He caused lots of mischief around the school and kept everyone entertained.
In assembly, Mrs Cole read us a lovely festive story, ’Twas the Night Before Christmas, and during assembly, we had a surprise visit from Father Christmas and his elf, Sugar Plum Mary. They visited us in our classrooms, where we enjoyed chatting to Father Christmas and asking him lots of questions about the North Pole. He was very kind and gave us a class present to share. We have enjoyed playing with our new toys.
In PSED this week, we talked about the pleasure of giving gifts, such as kind words and thoughtful actions. We also explored how it feels to give and receive gifts. Later in the week, we used a variety of resources to create party hats for our Christmas celebrations.
We all enjoyed our party games, followed by a delicious Christmas lunch with our teachers on Wednesday. We ended the week by reflecting on our value of Growing Minds, as we looked back through our learning journeys and celebrated the progress we have made this term.
