Year 1 Latest News – Autumn 1 Week 5

This week the children have enjoyed orally retelling a short version of The Bog Baby story. They have enjoying making their own story maps to help retell the story and they have made lists of what Bog Baby likes to eat. In maths the children have developed their understanding of the part-part whole model (Cherry Model) to regroup a number in different ways. In art, the children made their very own Bog Baby out of clay. They worked on creating texture using tools and joined the clay using the slipping method.
