This week the children have been confident caterpillars, practising their words and songs on the stage in preparation for the Christmas show. Throughout our English lessons, the children have continued to immerse themselves in the story of Little Red Riding Hood by using adjectives to describe the characters and making puppets to help practise retelling the story. By the end of the week, the children innovated the story with their own ideas and are looking forward to writing them next week! In history, the children have been very curious to explore some real artefacts from a long time ago. They shared comments about the objects, using their knowledge of the world to give reasons to explain their ideas. They were also very inquisitive, asking many questions about the artefacts to learn more about life in the past.
