This week, the children have enjoyed the warmer weather and have had fun taking their learning outside. They have practised their cricket skills, den building and have enjoyed bark rubbing on different trees.
On Monday, the children were very excited as they got to bring in their teddy bears from home. We enjoyed a morning with our bears, playing parachute game, duck, duck, goose and teddy bear yoga. The children then wrote about their bear adventures in English. What a great way to end our ‘Everywhere Bear’ learning.
On Tuesday they took part in a drumming workshop where they learnt how to play the djembe drums. They learnt that the middle of the djembe was the base and the outside was the tone. They also had lots of fun learning a new African song.
In science, the children have been learning about plants and the key features. They had a detailed look at a plant and labelled it during discovery time. We are looking forward to planting our own seeds soon!
