This week the children have made sure to water their sunflowers every day. They have enjoyed noticing some changes happening! In English, they wrote their own set of instructions on how to grow a sunflower and learnt about the lifecycle. They have also continued to observe the changes of our caterpillars. They were excited to see that the caterpillars have now turned into chrysalises and very soon will become butterflies.
On Tuesday, we carried out a science experiment where we placed two beans in bags and put them in different places; sun and no sun. The children made some great predictions on what might happen and are looking forward to finding this out.
On Thursday, we celebrated VE Day and remembered the day the war ended and how people celebrated. Some of the children created their own flags, bunting and spitfire crafts.
