This week the children enjoyed recapping what a seed needs to grow and they all planted a sunflower seed. In English the children consolidated their understanding by drawing pictures to show the procedure for planting and some children wrote descriptive poems about sunflowers. In art, we found out about a famous artist called Georgia O’Keeffe and explored light and dark tones using the watercolour pencils, to create pictures of flowers.
In our outside garden, the children have explored volume using the water resources and consolidated the language linked to this. They also explored estimation and measuring with non-standard measures.
We have all enjoyed taking part in the TSC mini marathon this week and have achieved 2 miles throughout the week!
