At the beginning of the week, we enjoyed observing our class butterflies, before setting them free outside. This was such a lovely experience and the children were so excited to watch as they flew up into the air.
In English, we enjoyed reading more poems by Shirley Hughes and then wrote our own minibeast poems. The children included a range of adjectives, verbs and some included alliteration.
In maths, the children continued to make arrays to support their understanding of repeated addition. They also solved word problems and problems involving weight. On National Numeracy Day, we explored money by sorting, counting and using money in our role play corners.
