This week, we learnt how to use commas in lists and applied this learning when writing a poem. Our list poems were about autumn and many of us took ideas from our Year 2 song which we performed to the school.
In maths we recalled addition and subtraction facts to 20 fluently. We also used our knowledge of the number bonds to 10 to derive related facts up to 100.
Because Diwali was being celebrated on Monday this week, we spent time learning the Diwali story. We also discovered how Hindus celebrate the festival and made some rangoli patterns of our own.
At the end of the week, we had Spooky Day! Whilst dressed up in our creepy costumes, we wrote a list poem about Halloween. We also created spooky art using oil pastels and water colour paint.
