In English, we have been writing Christmas poems using the features of writing we have learned this term e.g. similes, alliteration, expanded noun phrases and commas in a list. Some of us also included rhyming words at the ends of each line. We then read our poems to our peers to share our ideas.
In maths, we took part in an orienteering activity where we used our map reading and directional skills to find maths based questions around the playground. We then answered the questions using the knowledge we have learned over the autumn term.
In D&T this week we were excited to make our soft toys using our designs. We carefully created templates and cut out material before sewing them together using a running stitch. We then chose materials such as buttons and ribbons to decorate our soft toys.
On Friday, we thoroughly enjoyed watching the Sleeping Beauty Pantomime at the theatre. It was great to get involved by shouting lines like ‘he’s behind you’!
