This week, we investigated how addition is commutative and that subtraction is not. We had to think carefully about the order of the numbers when subtracting.
We developed our ability to extend sentences by using conjunctions and practiced creating pauses using commas. Then we used these skills to write about Rapunzel.
In history, we looked at a selection of castles and had to decide whether they were real or fake. We used our knowledge of castles features to help us decide and we listened carefully to our group to come to a decision.
In assembly this week, we discussed oracy and what it means. We spent time developing an oracy charter containing the expectations of how we converse during assembly. We decided that body language, clear speaking and careful listening were important.
