In English, we revisited poetry and therefore, reminded ourselves of similes, adjectives and commas. We thought about what we associated with summer including things we might see, hear and eat in the summer time. Using our ideas, we wrote a descriptive poem about summer.
We also started a new topic in history; The Great Fire of London. We discussed and explored paintings from the event, thinking carefully about what we could see in each one. We then learnt about the key sequence of events and acted these out in groups.
The Year 2s participated in a mosaic workshop to produce a final piece that will be displayed in our new Reflection Garden. We carefully selected the right coloured tile to complete the design. The mosaic will be grouted and then displayed for the whole school community to enjoy.
