This week in maths, we took on the role of the teacher! We were presented with someone’s working out that resulted in an incorrect answer. Our task was to find where they went wrong and correct it. We had to look carefully at each step to spot the mistakes.
In English, we wrote a letter inspired by the book ‘Dear Teacher’. Our letters were addressed to our new class teachers and detailed adventurous and wacky reasons why we were going to be late for the first day of school. We made sure to include all the features of a letter including who it is to, the date and a sign off.
In history, we continued to investigate The Great Fire of London by becoming archaeologists. We looked closely at artefacts from the time to gather more information about how Londoner’s dealt with the fire. We then compared the fire equipment of 1666 to the equipment used in modern times.
This week we have also been working hard to perfect our scenes for the play. We also had the opportunity to watch each other’s’ this week. We cannot wait for you to come and watch ‘The Bee Musical’!
