Year 2 Latest News – Summer 1 Week 5

This week we enjoyed our visit to Legoland! We took part in a workshop where we learned about the oceans and continents of the world. We looked at photos of natural features, manmade landmarks and animals and then worked as a team to make them out of Lego. Miniland was amazing to walk around as you can see many famous buildings and it even had moving trains. We also had lots of fun going on a range of rides and enjoyed watching a show! During English lessons this week, we have written recounts of our trip, making sure we use time connectives.

In maths, we have recapped addition, subtraction, multiplication and division strategies and applied these to word problems.

We have continued to observe the changes our caterpillars are going through to become butterflies and have welcome some new chicks to school this week too!
